Roller Skating is a lost art. I remember when I was younger the skating rink was the spot. I even had a birthday party there, and I thought I was all that and a bag of chips because my mom brought me roller blades. Roller Rinks over the years lost their lust and slowly diminished. However movies like Roll bounce, ATL kinds brought back a spark in the hobby in my opinion. Also Beyoncé did a skate video BLOW, so of course who wouldn’t want to skate after that!!!

No matter what night you go CASCADE is a Vibe!!! It’s the infamous skating ring in Atlanta,(also seen in the movie ATL) that has stood the test of time. It brings out single skaters, couples, and groups of all ages. It’s a BLACK OWNED Business, and you know we love and love to support those. They have themed events and skate nights for everyone:  adult night and teen night. It’s a sight to see when the lights go low and the wheels to glow. Now for me its been years, at least 6, since I last roller skated, so you know I was rusty. Now I wasn’t to intimidated because it was family night and there were heaps of children on the floor. Little did I know they were all expert riders. I’m going like 3 mph trying get my bearing and this little boy flies past me….going backwards, and then does a knee glide. I look over and another skater is doing 360 spins. Aww struck already and then some old school Usher starts playing. I loved the atmosphere, and the fact that its exercise doesn’t hurt either. Date night, family outing, friend gathering or just want to get out the house, grab some wheels and slide on down to Cascade.  it’s a good time that doesn’t hurt your pockets.
